End the economic lockdowns now and save lives
Let us remember how trans-national gas and oil corporations have had their multi-billion profit double as many people cannot afford the basic heating and lighting of their own modest homes.
Many of us believe that lockdowns are now an aspect of the past and that the world is going back to some form of normal, but this could not be farther than the truth. The reality is that prices and demands have both skyrocketed, and this marks the process of complete separation between low-income and high-income members of the society, by abolishing the middle class. Throughout the last months, more and more people have started struggling to afford bills, and more people are now homeless as a result of the inflation and the record proportion of unemployment, especially in big cities. Economic and climate lockdowns are to a certain degree inter-dependent, meaning that people are made to pay extra in order to travel in specific areas of big cities with petrol-based cars. But a commonality between the economic and the public health lockdowns is the fact that University students are the most affected. The public health lockdowns started this problem and the economic lockdowns continued it. The public health lockdowns that were implemented in the previous two years already set a new precedent of financial crises and inflation, and let no politician falsely reassure you that things will become better, as long as the current system will remain in place throughout the world.
Let me remind politicians, corporate leaders and educational institution that having a roof over one’s head is one of the most important human rights, and actively denying one such rights, despite their clear willingness to provide for themselves, represents a human right violation that can be actioned in a court of law. Politicians, you are being warned; give the jobs back to the people who lost them because of the previous unconstitutional acts of vaccine mandates. Offer more jobs to the public, invest more money in employment, loans and grants where applicable and start tackling the problem of homelessness in big cities. You are being absolutely complicit in destroying people’s livelihoods and you will sooner or later pay for your wrongdoing. You are literally paid by the public to do your job and yet you only seek to enrich yourselves at the expense of the poor. Such financial abuses often classify as crimes against humanity because this kind of financial and political leadership often causes literal economic assassination. As we all know, ignorance is no excuse, and many times, ignorance is willful.
When are we all going to stand up for what we always needed to stand up? So many young adults are being controlled reactionaries and frankly buying into the pyramid scheme that is making many selfish and egotistical. Yet so few young adults are standing up against homelessness, lack of employment, as well as medical and financial injustices. Understanding the foundational issues of a society is easy when one approaches life with humility and genuine respect for fellow human beings. Being busy eventually stops being an excuse. Just as being afraid of losing your job was no excuse to your unwillingness to stand up against unconstitutional and wrongfully mandated medical acts in experimental stages. Maybe we will all give an account to everything we did in this life sometime, and let me say that time will continue to pass, no matter what we will be doing. Maybe we will surely give an account to our individual and collective actions, and we can do nothing to prevent that from happening. There are two types of treason; political treason and social treason, and a mass silence to injustice constitutes social treason, which is worse than political treason, as the people vote the politicians, and not vice-versa. Hence, let us take care of our present and future decisions, as well as our approaches to people around us who might be needing our help.
